Jean Phil Dance: Put Your Face in His Dance Clips, From One Photo

Pick the Street Dance, Living Room or Park Flowers scene in the generator above, upload one clear photo of yourself, a friend who agreed, or your pet, keep or change the wig, moustache and suit, and generate. You get a vertical MP4 of that subject doing his dance with the clip’s own sound. The viral "Gang Gang" version is a fan edit set to a rap track, not one of his posts.

Your photo

One person or one pet, face clear and toward the camera

What makes a good photo?

JPG, PNG or WebP, 300–6000 px per side, up to 30 MB. One person or one pet facing the camera in even light, no sunglasses; head to waist with the hands visible works best. Only yourself, your pet or an adult who agreed — no children or public figures.

Costume

Your character wears it in every shot. Face, skin tone, eye colour and age always come from your photo; pick “None” for a version without the moustache.

Length

Your video follows Street Dance from the start; drag to keep anything from 4 s to the whole 24 s.

Which dance people mean by "the Jean Phil dance"

Three different things go by that name:

  1. His own dance clips. The account @jean_philanthrope posts dances alongside the shadowboxing: a stiff street dance, a living-room routine with a high kick, a mix of dance and boxing under a park tree, and his very first post, which mixes both in a small flat. Same deadpan face, same brown houndstooth suit.
  2. The "Gang Gang" edits. Other creators cut his moves, or their own Jean Phil remakes, to a rap track called "Gang Gang". The name stuck to the trend, but the track does not appear among the songs on his account.
  3. Toc Toc. A separate dance trend that some people perform in his costume. Not his.

This page is about the first one: putting your face, or a friend's or your pet's, into his own dance clips.

The dance scenes on this site

SceneWhat happensWhole clipGood for
Street DanceA stiff, serious dance on a sunny street, then a slow walk straight up to the lens24 sA pure dance clip, no boxing
Living RoomAn energetic living-room dance finished with a high kick10 sThe cheapest whole clip; a quick test of your photo
Park FlowersDancing and boxing under a park tree, ending with a bouquet held up to the camera26 sA birthday or apology joke: the flowers land the punchline
Apartment ShadowboxingHis first clip: jabs, hooks and a little dance in a small kitchen, then two thumbs up23 sThe original, if your friends know the meme well

Each scene keeps the camera, the moves and the original sound of his clip; the photo supplies the face, skin tone, eye colour, age and build. Seedance 2.5, the default model, makes any whole second from 4 s to the end of the scene. The cheaper Seedance 2.0 models stop at 15 s, so on them Street Dance and Park Flowers end early.

Make it in four taps

  1. In the generator at the top of this page, keep Street Dance or tap another dance scene.
  2. Upload one photo. For a dance, a half-body or full-body photo with the arms visible works better than a tight face crop: the model has to guess less about your shoulders and hands.
  3. Choose the costume. Defaults give the straight copy. Moustache "none" makes a female version that keeps your own face; pets keep their own face and fur and wear the wig, moustache and jacket.
  4. Generate and download. A seven-view character sheet of your subject in the costume appears first, then the video. Failed or refused videos return their credits.

There is no free video at signup at the moment. On Seedance 2.5 at 480p a whole Living Room dance (10 s) costs 61 credits and 15 s of Street Dance 90; Seedance 2.0 Mini makes 10 s for 15.

What makes it read as Jean Phil

  • No expression, ever. The face stays blank while the body moves. A grinning photo fights the joke; pick a neutral one.
  • A stiff upper body. The moves are small and deliberate, never loose. It is a gentleman doing something he has clearly never done before.
  • The suit. Dancing in a three-piece houndstooth suit is half the gag. Swap the colour if you like, but keep the suit.
  • The ending. Street Dance ends with a slow walk into the lens and Park Flowers with the bouquet. Don't trim the ending off; it is the punchline.

Want the "Gang Gang" moves or your own choreography?

The scenes here follow his clips, so they can't do a routine he never posted. Two routes exist elsewhere:

  • Motion transfer (Kling 3.0 Motion Control, Viggle Mix, Seedance 2.5 in Dreamina): film yourself or pick a dance clip, add a picture of you in the costume, and the model copies the movement. Use one shot, full body in frame, steady camera and even speed; fast spins and crossed arms are where limbs pass through the body. Budget a few attempts.
  • Text-to-video prompts: cheaper but loose. Describe the look, the moves in order and the framing, and say what to avoid. A starting point:
Vertical 9:16, 10 seconds, handheld phone footage on a sunny city street.

A man with a blond helmet bowl cut, a thin blond moustache curled at the tips and a brown houndstooth three-piece suit dances stiffly and seriously: two small side steps, a shoulder roll, a knee pop, a half turn, then he walks slowly toward the camera and stops close to the lens.

Completely blank face the whole time, never smiling. Natural daylight, slight camera shake.

Avoid: smiling, extra fingers, arms passing through the body, changing hair, changing face, cinematic lighting.

Either way, generate without music and add the sound afterwards, then shift the clip a few frames until the moves hit the beat. More prompts, for the look, a character sheet and shadowboxing, are on Jean Phil AI prompts.

Music and posting

  • Your download already has the scene's original sound. To use "Gang Gang" or another trending sound, add it inside TikTok or Instagram and lower or mute the original so the two don't clash.
  • Upload the downloaded MP4, not a screen recording. 720p looks noticeably sharper than 480p in the feed.
  • Switch on the AI-generated content label. Don't caption it as if it came from his account, and leave the coin out.
  • Library sounds are licensed for ordinary posts. For a sponsored or branded video, use a commercial-safe track.

If the face drifts during the moves or the hands blur, the fix guide has the causes and fixes. Who he is and where the dance clips come from is on Who is Jean Phil?.

Questions

What is the song in the Jean Phil "Gang Gang" dance?

The "Gang Gang" clips are edits by other people set to a rap track called "Gang Gang", which gave them the name. It is not one of his own posts: the songs on his account, as listed by Know Your Meme, are French rap and US hits such as "FINIS-LES" by La Fève and Nelly’s "Dilemma". If you want that track on your video, add it from the TikTok or Reels sound library when you post.

Can I upload a photo of my friend, pick the dance and download a finished 9:16 video without editing?

Yes, as long as your friend agreed. Upload their photo, pick Street Dance, Living Room or Park Flowers, generate, and download the MP4. It is already vertical and already has the scene’s sound, so there is nothing to cut or export. One person or one pet per video.

Which version is the most recognisable right now?

For a pure dance, Street Dance: the stiff, serious moves and the walk straight into the lens. Overall, the pink-suit night selfie by the tennis court is his most-copied clip and Apartment Shadowboxing is the original. Each keeps its own sound, which is half of why people recognise it.

My AI dance doesn’t hit the beat, and the arms pass through the body. Will a motion reference help?

Yes. Text-only prompts invent their own moves and timing; a reference video fixes both. On this site every scene already follows a trace of his original clip, so the timing matches the sound it ships with. In other tools, use a one-shot, full-body reference at steady speed, generate without music, then add the song and nudge the clip a few frames until the hits land.

Can my friends and I all be in one Jean Phil dance video?

Not in one clip here: each scene has one dancer, so the generator takes one photo. Make one video per friend with the same scene and costume and post them side by side, as a carousel or a split-screen edit. Group dances need a multi-character tool and usually several attempts.

Can I use the dance and the "Gang Gang" song in a monetised Short or a sponsored Reel?

Be careful. Sounds from the TikTok or Instagram library are licensed for ordinary posts, often not for branded or sponsored content, and platforms can mute a monetised video. His original clips are someone else’s footage. For paid work, use a commercial-safe sound and your own generated video, and keep the AI label on.

Is the Toc Toc dance a Jean Phil dance?

No. Toc Toc is a separate dance trend; some people perform it in his costume, which is why the two get mixed up. None of the scenes here are built from Toc Toc videos.
